Education in Chile

Since leaving I have seen the high school education has changed through my younger siblings.

I've seen has changed the curriculum, the implementation of the full school day, the change of the PAA for the PSU, but I still see the disaster in the scores has not improved anything, just hours were added more over the day and teachers are giving homework.

I think teachers are a mob (not all of course) that you can not remove a teacher who does not meet the minimum quality requirements, why resist both teacher assessment? (There was a case of a math teacher who did not even know how to do fractional amounts) in any other work assessed the performance and fulfill it .... See you later.
All you get is that the kids of tomorrow remain ignorant because they have the tools to move forward.
Teachers should be trained to new realities, a boy born with a mouse in his hand can not be taught as the children of the last century. Debiesen pedagogy students take classes in use of technology and I do not mean like using a text editor, but how to use the knowledge of the network, learning to use the knowledge available and not reinvent the wheel every year.

What should the state to improve the situción?

  • Increase school subención.
  • Eliminate taxes on the books.
  • Increase scholarships.
  • Intervention in the schools with the lowest score.
  • Improve your management platform, where millions are lost every year.
  • Increase spending on education.
  • Provide computers, or similar to all classrooms in the country.

  4. The state should do to improve situción?

    * Increase the school subención. <- You earn it is stolen?
    * Eliminate taxes on the books. <- And the bribes paid by publishers?
    * Increase scholarships. <- Also are stolen and give them to those not deserving?
    * Participate in the schools with the lowest score. <- That is!
    * Improve your management platform, where millions are lost every year. <- Too!
    * Increase spending on education. <- In infrastructure but hopefully increasing stolen x2
    * Provide computer, or similar to all classrooms in the country. <- Many schools there are computers and teachers do not know how to use!

    I also add ....
    - Educate parents!
    - REMOVE THE MAFIA TO BE IN THE MINEDUC more than the teacher who named mob

  6. Daniel, thanks for your comments. I think that basically we agree that should make profound changes at all levels to improve education in Chile and so our young people have better opportunities in the globalized world of tomorrow.
    Regarding your comments:
Increase subención why there is a lot of party supporters is the lead is not enough to have good conditions for education.
Lower taxes, why the books are too expensive compared to other countries, regardless of what publishers do.
The theme of the fellowship is something that must always check in these systems, we run the risk of handing them over to people who do not. But it should improve.
Increase spending on education, the government currently spends far less on education than on weapons, we do not have a law that reserves of copper for education.
I agree with you that many profes not know how to use a PC, it also raised that the students of pedagogy classes they should include in its mesh technology training to learn to make better use of new tools.
Well I hope that ultimately improve education and our kids have a better future not only in Chile but in the world.
